He will participating in the Congress and 90th Anniversary of the Community Party of Greece (KKE) and the Party's youth festival (KNE) from 18th September to 24th September 2008. Comrade Shafiq has met with several delegates of the other countries, like Denmark, Syria, Indian CPI and CPIM. Greece society has a glorious historical, intellectual and scientific record. Entire mankind is thankful to Greece for its contribution in Human progress. This magnificent heritage is also reflected in thinking of your party. With this background no one can feel the present predicament of youth, world over, more than you. I'll however like to present Pakistani Youth's point of view on the social, economical and political factors effecting the youth.

     Emergence of socialism in 1917 created a ray of hope for a better future of young generation. With the consolidation of socialist order and its advances in Eastern Europe and other parts of the world, created a sense of security in the minds of youth of large parts of the World. They were guaranteed equal opportunities for their welfare and their parents were not worried about food and shelter. They did not have to worry about getting jobs after the completion of their education. That was the time when fortunate youth of different parts of world were able to get free higher education in socialist world especially in Petressa Lomumba University of Moscow.

     After counter revolution of 1991 in Soviet Union and its dismemberment the balance of power tilted in favor of capitalist world and the youth found themselves, once again, on the mercy of capitalist mechanisms.

     Capitalism with its ruthless exploitation of nature had put the existence of globe and mankind at stake. The environmental changes caused by unplanned industrialization and lack of necessary arrangements for industrial waste's disposal are challenging the continuation of life. Emission of poisonous gases and radio active particles has disrupted protective ozone layer resulting in dangerous ecological changes. We have to fight this menace to protect future of the youth and we have to fight it unitedly. Young men and women of entire world must also organize themselves to face this challenge.

     Scientific and technical revolution, instead of increasing the opportunities for human race and solving its problems for shelter, hunger, employment, education and health, has plunged the world into a more serious problem of over production. The capitalist world is entangled in it worst crisis and has been trying to come out of it through the old prescription of capturing new resources and markets. A war hysteria has been created and a so called war against terror has been imposed on the world. The bogey of Al-Qaida is being used to capture the natural resources especially the energy reservoirs of the world. The future of our youth is endangered with this adventurism. We all have to fight this unilateralism by the leader of international imperialism.

     My country got freedom from British imperialism in 1947. The freedom was not complete however. We have always remained under the American influence throughout our history. The democratic and liberal political forces have remained victim of state terrorism.  Our youth have been active, in very unfavorable circumstances, to counter the antidemocratic attitude of dictatorial regimes one after another.

The Pakistani government must expose the US game plans. Dated 17 Sept 08

It is an established fact that violence begets violence; if the American led NATO forces intensify the attacks inside the Pakistani area would definitely cause increased extremism and terrorism. The current signs of the attacks on Karachi and Islamabad by American leadership and the presence of the Taliban in Karachi as stated by MQM leader Altaf Hussain would push Pakistan into a disintegration and civil war like situation.  

This was stated by Comrade Imdad Qazi in a press statement. Comrade further told that imperialist US can’t be permitted at any cost to do such acts against Pakistan . These acts are also very dangerous for the democracy here which is in the infancy stage yet. The current uncertainty in the country and intolerance are the results of the these American plans. Comrade Qazi suggested to the government to expose these American games publicly and inform the people of Pakistan on the exact situation. Similarly all democratic forces should also initiate agitation against these plans and attacks otherwise it is leading to a dangerous situation.

Communist Party of Pakistan statement of destroying Girls schools in NWFP. Dated 16 Sept 2008.

The bombing and burning of the girls schools in NWFP is an act of violence against humanity. The targeted schools of girls are more than 160 schools in the Districts of Swat, Bajour, Mohmand, Dir Upper, Dir Lower and other parts of FATA and NWFP. It is a plan to keeping the female population in darkness and deprived. The female literacy rate is very low in these parts of the country and it was needed to establish more (almost double the numbers) the school there for boys and girls and educate the young population of the nation. The female literacy rate is about 22-24% in Swat, 2-3% in Bajour, 10-12% in Dir Lower and 8-10% in Dir upper.  But unfortunately the education institution and specially the girls schools from primary to higher secondary level are being targeted by the militants and thousands of girls remained in homes due to the security fears and destroying the schools. About one in four schools in Swat are destroyed by the militants. In some area the small girls of primary schools are forced to wear burqa (vail). Recently the Girls High School at Ganori Village is blasted in Dir Upper. The only Girls High school in Wari Tehsil (Subdivision ) of Dir Upper is burnt and all the girls are now forced by government to get the school leaving certificates.

Communist Party of Pakistan condemns these acts of militants to keep away the girls from education and forcing them into the age of darkness. Communist Party of Pakistan calls upon all the parents, teachers, political and rights activists to protect the schools as some of the brilliant parents did in Swat and Dir. CPP demands from the governmnet to provide security to the schools, students and teachers. The reconstruction of the destroyed schools should be the first priority of the Government and special programme on the reconstruction should be initiated.

American and NATO attacks inside Pakistan are raising extremism in the country.

The cross boarder acts of American and NATO forces would result an increase in extremism instead of eliminating it. Such acts should not be tolerated. This was stated by member Central Secretariat Communist Party of Pakistan comrade Imdad Qazi here in a statement. Comrade Qazi further stated that when Pakistan politically and economically is a subservient state, how it can remain independent and sovereign geographically?. The Pakistani Military establishment jointly with America had played a bloody game in the neighboring countries especially in Afghanistan , now the same game will be played on the soil of Pakistan .

The progressive and real anti imperialist forces must unite and agitate against such actions, otherwise Pakistan is going to become battle filed between America and it allies on one side and religious extremists on the other.

We must remember that military establishment has not yet sidelined from the involvement in politics. They are again waiting to see when situation becomes suitable for their intervention to occupy the rule. Pakistani government should call an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council on such acts against the country’s sovereignty and protect the north western boarders and people living there in bordering areas. Government with the support of local people must expel all those foreign terrorists from the country and defeat their allies politically.

Condolence on the destruction in Cuba due to recent hurricane Gustav.

The Communist Party of Pakistan feels grief and condoles with the Cuban People, Cuban Government and Communist Party of Cuba over the recent destructing hurricane Gustav which hit the areas of Cuba and damaged thousand of houses, thousand of people displaced and some injured. Further more it has destroyed the electricity, communication and road infrastructure. Communist Party of Pakistan keenly observed the situation and express pleasure that it has resulted no human loss.

On this occasion Communist Party of Pakistan and the comrades in Pakistan show full solidarity with Cuba in this hard time. CP wishes the people are returned safe to their homes and start their normal life.

Communist Party of Pakistan on expelling US ambassadors from Bolivia and Venezuela .

US imperialism is passing though a crises and imperialist system has started a move of terrorism by supporting separatist movements. It also boosts the so called extremism by creating separatist movements and searching for the reasons to fight in different regions of the world. In the Latin-American region, after seeing the revolutionary inclination and popularity, imperialist US America  has become aggressive. They also tried to use Columbia against Venezuela and similarly it supports the anti revolutionary forces in Bolivia . The US ambassador is involved in all these plots; Communist Party of Pakistan condemns it.

Communist Party of Pakistan supports the act of expelling the ambassadors from Bolivia and Venezuela . US is also doing the same acts in the different boarder areas of Pakistan, the elected government of Pakistan should take bold decisions like taken by Bolivian and Venezuelan governments, such decisions are very much necessary.

Communist Party of Pakistan condemns the engraving five women alive on the name of honor.

Engraving five seriously wounded women alive in Balouchistan is the insult of the humanity. It is the worst cruel phenomena of the feudal system prevalent in Baloushistan. While such wicked things are termed as Baloch tradition and cultural traits and defending strongly by Baloch feudals for their safety and defense. All those feudals in person involved or supporting them in this phenomenon may be given exemplary punishment. This was sated by comrade Imdad Qazi, member central secretariat Communist Party of Pakistan in a press statement. Comrade Qazi stated that when the human right activist noticed it, this brutal act was exposed.

The administration and judiciary must take exemplary actions to avoid such acts against the vulnerable people and groups. Comrade Qazi said that ceaseless struggle should continue against the feudalism and tribalism to put an end to it for ever. Unless and until this worst and wicked rejected system is alive on the surface such events will be nourishing and flourishing in different parts of the country and world, which would tease the humanity and killing of innocent on the name of honor will continue.

The following statement issued on August 26 by Central Secretariat, Communist Party of Pakistan on the exit of Pakistan Muslim League (N) from the ruling coalition government.

The exit of the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) from the Pakistan Peoples Party lead coalition government has weakened the parliament and democracy in the country. It was the determination of US America and Pakistani military establishment and they wanted that both parties must not work to gathers and at last they are successful. The attitude and false promises of Asif Ali Zardari has eliminated other options and ways available for the coalition partners. CP has fears that if the same attitude remains, it would help in creating a situation where PPP, Military Bureaucracy and American allies are gathering in the same camp. On the other hand Muslim League Nawaz group takes extreme steps to become, the ally of Jamat-I-Islami and other Ultra Reactionary forces. This situation would be surely dangerous for the democracy and the federation of Pakistan .

It is further stated in the statement that American pressure will be increased on Peoples Party government to follow their agenda and the possibility exists to adopt the practices of Muslim League (Q) in the past government. Muslim League Nawaz should establish relations and coalition with secular forces instead of Rightist forces, other wise military establishment will occupy the power again.

CP understands that it is clear now, that US America is the main hurdle in the restoration of judiciary and supremacy of parliament, while military establishment is supporting in this job. They wish the supremacy should be with a single person instead of parliament, for which they feel the needs of the presidential system in the country.

The central secretariat further states that it is the time for the left forces, lawyers, trade unions and professional organizations to openly oppose and do struggle against US America and Pakistani establishment. Pressurizing the parliament and also struggling against US America not to interfere in the supremacy of Pakistan any more.

Dictator Perviz Musharaf resignation is the victory of the democratic forces of Pakistan .

Instead of honoring him by a safe passage to Perviz Musharaf, he must be charged and tried in the open court. Musharaf is a symbol of dictatorship, conspiracy against the people, a subservient of imperialists and America , who adopted the supremacy of the imperialist international monetary institutions. The political and parliamentary forces must file cases against him and also withdraw all those decisions imposed in the country on the demands of the imperialist and international monetary institutions and to eradicate this menace for ever.      

This was stated by the Comrade Imdad Qazi member Central Secretariat, Communist Party of Pakistan in the party policy statement, on the resignation of Dictator President Musharaf. Comrade Qazi further said and demanded to stop the military operation immediately in Balouchistan, deal with the militancy in NWFP politically. All the policies must be framed in the benefit of the country and peoples of Pakistan instead of the imperialist America . He further demanded to stop the wave of the increasing inflation and prices hikes. The country’s financial policies must be prepared by the Pakistani pro people economists. Judiciary must be restored at the 2^nd November 2007 position. Throw out the imperialists paid economic policy makers because the strengthening of democracy is based on the sovereignty and the freedom of the economic policies from foreign pressures. The people of Pakistan must force the rulers to fulfill at least the upper three basic demands on priority.

Comrade Ernesto Che Guevara is symbol of freedom, revolution and socialism

Communist Party of Pakistan (CPP) organized a public meeting to celebrate 80^th birthday of Comrade Che Guevara. The meeting was held in the auditorium of Pakistan Medical Association Karachi on 27 July at 5pm. The meeting was attended by students, trade union activists, intellectuals, progressive democrats and CPP members.

Speeches deliberated on the life and struggle of Che. His historic role for revolution and socialism was elaborated. Comrade Imdad Kazi member Central Secretariat of CPP in his presidential address said that the comrade Cheʼs travel of struggle from   Chile to Mexico and the revolutionary spirit he infused into the struggle organizations there have contributed much to the present day emerging red Latin America . About a dozen countries there are being governed by progressive democratic or communist parties. This is same Latin America where, American puppet rulers were perpetuating  atrocities on people in not very distant past. Comrade had also played a very important role in Cuban revolution. The wind of revolution blowing fast and the change is being consolidated in the region.

Comrade Kazi further said that although the struggle for revolution will be different in every country but Che will always be a hero of every revolutionary struggle. Comrade Imdad Kazi appealed the left forces in Pakistan to organize functions on the occasion of Cheʼs birth day to throw light on his prolonged and consistent struggle.

Comrade Kazi also demanded for the release of five Cuban heroes who are in American jails for many years. He appealed to democratic progressive forces to agitate for their release.

Dear Comrades!

Communist Party of Pakistan appreciates your party struggle to stop India becoming an American subservient state. We have a horrible experience of working in a country which has remained strategic partner and a satellite state of American for last half a century. Consequently Pakistan has lost its economic and political freedom and has behaved like a mercenary fighting for American interests.

Comrades, your party is playing an equally important role to the perseverance of national independence. As the communists had played for gaining independence from imperialism. Indian national bourgeoisie has relinquished its national role especially after the capitalistic globalization and that’s why congress party is vent upon bargaining Indian independence. The role of Indian left in this respect is a golden chapter of history. Although no confidence motion against Congress Government could not succeeded but it has been proved that only communists are capable of fighting for the preserving the independence of their homeland. The massive vote in the support of no confidence move is a proof of your struggle against the Indo-American deal. Indian communists have to play a very important role not only for the social change but also for the perseverance of independence.

We are confident that you will use all available options for attaining these objectives; coordinated efforts are required to counter imperialist design in the region. CPP is with you in your struggle.
